The Lansdowne United Methodist Women is a dedicated group of women, who meet monthly on the first Monday of the month at 6 pm, except in July and August. Please note that meetings have been on hold due to Covid concerns, but we hope to resume soon.
The primary focus of the UMW is on missions. The group’s donations have supported a number of charitable organizations, including:
- Asbury Home (annual donation, plus a donation for COVID- 19)
- Board of Child Care (annual donation, plus a Back-to-School donation)
- Heart’s Place Services
- Helping Up Missions
- N. M. Carroll Manor Home
- New Life For Girls
- South West Emergency Services (SWES)
- Suzanna Wesley House, Inc.
In the spring, the UMW sponsors the very popular annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, our major fund raiser; and we hold our annual Women’s Banquet, a joyful time of fun and fellowship!
If you have a heart for missions and would like to make a difference in the lives of others, please join us! We welcome all new members and visitors to our meetings!
