Our physical separation does not mean we are separated from the love of God or from the love of one another. Listening to the guidance of our civil and religious leaders, sacrificing our normal routines and staying home for the time being is an act of love – a way we can love one another and protect those who have the greatest risk of harm. This is not about any individual risk, but rather serving our community as followers of Christ and considering first the needs of the most vulnerable among us. I have not received any specific prayer requests to share, but I know there are those of us who are anxious, sick, hurting, scared, sad, lonely, and frustrated. Psalm 145 reminds us, “The Lord is near to all who call on him,” so I pray you feel the Holy Presence by your side as your strength and shield. We can rejoice and be glad that we have the love of God, the peace of Christ, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit with us today and every day!

Please continue to reach out to me with prayer requests, concerns, celebrations, or any other information that you would typically share with me. I love hearing from you, because I miss seeing your faces! I am available by phone/text at 410-231-3447 or by email at pastoremily@lansdowneumc.org.

In Christ,
Pastor Emily
